Planning For A Successful Kiwanis Year 2006-2007
By John Yegge

The most important time in Kiwanis is before, or at least early, in each Kiwanis Year.
Planning. Planning. Planning.
Carefully laid plans assure a successful year.
- The pro-active Kiwanis club takes the initiative.
- The club is in charge of events - knows what’s going to happen. . .ahead of time.
- Kiwanis Service happens on the pro-active club’s schedule.
- The reactive Kiwanis club addresses events after they occur.
- The club is on the defensive, always trying to catch up with events.
- Kiwanis Service happens to the reactive club and Lady Luck is in charge of the schedule.
Careful planning is the secret to guaranteed success for every Kiwanis club.
Decide now. . . before you continue reading. . .that your club will happen to your club’s service community (local or world) this year.
Decide now. . . before you continue reading. . . that your club will be the hammer in your club’s service community - not the nail.
Decide now. . . before you continue reading. . .that your club will map out its Service Program before another day passes in Kiwanis Year 2006-2007.
Decide now.
Do it.

There! That was the hardest part. Your club’s year of Kiwanis Service in 2006-2007 is virtually guaranteed to be a success!
Plan!
If you don’t know where your club is going, any road will do
. . . but you won’t know you’re there when you arrive.
Make things happen on your club’s schedule!
